A website with its own digital menu and WhatsApp ordering gives the restaurant a channel it controls. Customers see the dishes, choose the add-ons, enter the delivery address and send the order without going through an app that charges a commission on every sale. I am Anderson Barbosa, from ab/, and I build these sites and menus for restaurants. I work with clients in Campina Grande and with companies across Brazil, remotely.
Own channel or delivery app: what is the difference?
The app brings in people who do not know the restaurant yet. The own channel serves people who already know the place and want to order without an intermediary. Both can exist at the same time, but each one plays a different role.
| Point | Delivery app | Own channel (website and menu) |
|---|---|---|
| Commission per order | Charged by the app | No app commission; payment processor fees may apply |
| Customer contact | Stays inside the platform | Stays with the restaurant, through WhatsApp and the customer record |
| Menu and rules | Follows the platform model | Follows what the restaurant defines: categories, add-ons, hours and delivery areas |
| Who brings the customer | The app's own storefront | Google, Instagram, business cards and campaigns |

How to reduce dependence on the app fee
The answer is not to drop the app overnight. It is to give the customer a direct path that they find on Google and Instagram, and to make sure whoever ordered once comes back through the restaurant's own channel. Three steps help: make the menu easy to find, put WhatsApp ordering one tap away and encourage customers to save the menu to their phone's home screen.
What a digital menu needs
- Photo and short description for each item, with the price visible. They show what the customer will receive and prevent questions on WhatsApp.
- Categories such as burgers, combos, drinks and desserts. The Juara's Burger project organizes products by category.
- Search for customers who already know what they want.
- Add-ons and limits, with the rules for each item. The Juara's Burger project includes extras and limits.
- Opening hours that are visible and up to date, and a delivery area and delivery hours that are defined. The Juara's Burger project includes both. The Açaí da Ester menu has deliveries by neighborhood or by kilometer.
- WhatsApp ordering, with notifications to the customer. Açaí da Ester has a WhatsApp customer service bot and order notifications.
- Printing of orders for the kitchen. Juara's Burger has order notifications and printing. Açaí da Ester has automatic printing with the business logo.
- Home screen install, so the customer can open the menu like an app shortcut on the phone.
MeuDeliveryPro: the platform behind the Açaí da Ester menu
The menu of Açaí da Ester runs on MeuDeliveryPro, a digital menu platform that is Anderson Barbosa's own. The case page lists, among the deliverables, order reports and stock control, registration of customers, staff and delivery people, online payment, cashback and coupons, real-time order notifications, automatic printing with the logo and a catalog generator with QR codes for tables. Check the current list of features on the platform itself, because that is where the published information is.
Juara's Burger: delivery, add-ons and dashboard in one project
The Juara's Burger is a 2024 case with delivery area and hours, extras and limits, payment integration, products by category and order notifications with printing. The project also includes an admin dashboard to manage orders, products and stores. The restaurant's website is juarasburger.com.br.
Pizzeria: company website with SEO and social media
The GranFatia is a pizzeria specializing in Neapolitan pizza. The 2025 case delivered the company website following the approved layout, with a content structure built for SEO, images with alt text, speed optimization and integration with social networks and contact forms. The site was delivered ready to publish on WordPress with Elementor. A company website does not need to sell online to be useful: it presents the product, the story and the contact, and sends the customer to Google Maps, Instagram or WhatsApp.
Google Business Profile and reviews
People who search for "digital menu in Campina Grande" or "website for a burger place in Campina Grande" may find the Google Business Profile in the results, when the business has one. Fill in the name, the restaurant category, the hours, photos of the dishes and the menu link. If the restaurant only delivers and does not serve customers at a counter, the profile accepts a service area instead of a public address. Reply to reviews with care, and mention the dish when the customer talks about it.
On the website, schema.org offers the Restaurant and Menu types, which describe the restaurant and its menu to Google and AI assistants. They make clear what the page offers, without promising any position in the results.
Landing page for a delivery campaign
Not every sale starts with the full menu. An ad campaign, a daily promotion or a new product calls for a short landing page. I built one for a lunchbox delivery business, focused on conversion, mobile use and SEO. It has a first screen with the value proposition and the order button, trust indicators, a menu with filters, a benefits section, a step-by-step ordering guide, testimonials in a carousel and a closing offer block. This case is still in progress, so I do not cite results.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between an own restaurant website and a delivery app?
A delivery app brings in customers who do not know the restaurant yet, but it charges a commission on each order and keeps customer data on the platform. An own website, with a digital menu and WhatsApp ordering, charges no app commission, and the restaurant keeps the customer contact. The two can work together: the app helps people discover the restaurant, and the website brings customers back.
Does a digital menu need WhatsApp ordering?
It is not required, but WhatsApp ordering is the simplest path for many restaurants. The customer chooses from the menu and the order arrives organized for the team to confirm. A menu with online payment can also work without WhatsApp, and the Açaí da Ester case combines online payment with order notifications and a WhatsApp bot. The right choice depends on how the restaurant serves customers today.
Is it worth installing the digital menu on the phone home screen?
It is worth it when customers order often. A menu installed on the home screen works as a shortcut and does not depend on searching for the address every time. The option can be offered after the first order, without requiring the customer to install anything to buy.
How does a restaurant show up on Google when someone searches for a digital menu in Campina Grande?
The restaurant needs a Google Business Profile with category, hours, photos and a menu link, and a website that writes the business name, the city and the product list as text, not only as images. No one can guarantee a position in the results. What you control is the clarity of the profile and the site, so Google and AI assistants understand what the restaurant offers.
