The problem I solved.
The context
Rúbia Tárcia is a writer and the author of the e-book “Quando Mãe também é Madrasta”, a supportive book for women who are both mothers and stepmothers. She needed a website to launch it: one that explained who the book was written for, introduced the author and took payments, with the e-book delivered on its own at any time of day.
The goal
Launch, within a few days, a warm sales page that is easy to read on a phone, with Pix payment and instant delivery, so the author would not have to send the file to each buyer by hand.
What was built
- Sales page with the full story: main headline, who the book is for, about the author, the transformation journey, the eight chapters, a launch offer with countdown, FAQ and testimonials.
- Custom checkout plugin (AbacatePay E-book Checkout) that creates the Pix charge on AbacatePay and takes the buyer to payment.
- Webhook confirmation: when the Pix is paid, AbacatePay notifies the site, which records the purchase.
- Automatic WhatsApp delivery: the site sends the PDF e-book to the buyer's number with a message personalized by name, and flags it so it is never sent twice.
- Thank-you page with the e-book download and a WhatsApp button for questions.
How it was done
The site runs on WordPress with Elementor Pro on the Hello theme, so the author can edit text and images without touching code. The visual identity came from the e-book cover: sand, terracotta and green tones, serif headings and photos of the author. Images were converted to WebP so the page loads fast on mobile.
Result
It took eight days from start to launch, between October 21 and 28, 2025. Sales and delivery run without intervention: the buyer pays by Pix and receives the e-book on WhatsApp.
